SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-destructive testing of objects, when the diagnosis of their technical condition is difficult. Barcode for marking pipes of main pipelines and objects located in hard-to-reach places contains a lot of code elements, which are detected by means of magnetic or acoustic devices. Such code elements are made from a ferromagnetic material, have varying configuration and section, are assembled with different placement intervals, different alternations and different numbers and are combined by a non-ferromagnetic framework.

EFFECT: purpose of the invention is to create a simplified, economically advantageous and highly informative barcode for marking pipes of main pipelines and objects located in inaccessible places, by improving its design, expanding the capabilities of the marker relating to its identification when decoding the magnetograms, reducing the risk of errors in determining pipe defects.
