FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical measuring equipment, in particular to control of power supply systems. Disclosed are monitoring method and device (10) for selective determination of subsystem leakage capacity (Ce) in ungrounded power supply system (2), which consists of main system (4) and at least one subsystem (6). According to the invention, the monitoring device comprises an extended insulation monitoring system (20) configured to determine the common leakage capacity (Ceges) of the power supply system (2); system (30) of extended localization of insulation fault, made with possibility to determine ohmic and capacitance component (Ire, Ice) of partial test current (Ie), registered in corresponding subsystem (6); and impedance estimation system (40) for determining insulation partial resistance (Re) and partial leakage capacity (Ce) for each subsystem (6) to be controlled.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing continuous in time monitoring of operation of ungrounded power supply system with respect to critical in terms of safety changes in electrical parameters, in particular, insulation resistance and leakage capacity of the system, and possibility of determining in which subsystem a critical increase in the leakage partial capacity (Ce) has occurred, without disconnection of the whole ungrounded power supply system (2).
