FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical cleaning and decontamination of internal surface of pipes and can be used in oil and gas industry for removal of asphaltene-resin-paraffin deposits, contaminated with natural radionuclides (NRN), from inner cavity of separate and decommissioned oil and gas-well tubing being on temporary storage. Proposed method comprises cleaning of pipe outer surface, machining of pipe inner surface with metal cutting tool – cutter. At that, in addition, process of internal pipe surface treatment by screw scraper is performed. Proposed device comprises milling machine to process tube inner surface with pipe fastening device behind outer surface, rod with rod feed device inside the pipe, drive at one end of the rod and cutter at the other end of the rod. A screw scraper is arranged on the rod between the drive and mill.
EFFECT: high efficiency of removing sawdust and radioactive material from the inner part of the pipe and improving cleaning efficiency by scraping the inner surface of the pipe with a screw scraper, as well as by removing metal layer from inner part of pipe by milling, since removes, apart from deposits and layer of metal destroyed by corrosion, in cracks of which and in inner layer of metal radioactive contamination is retained.
