BYPASS COVER AND METHOD OF FLUID MEDIUM DIRECTING THROUGH FILTER Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B01D36/04 B01D29/15

Abstract RU 2700058 C2

FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an overflow cover for a filter assembly and a filter assembly comprising a bypass cover. Bypass cover is capable of providing fluid communication with inner part of filter element and outer part of filter element, has, in fact, circular section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bypass cover and comprises an outer ring, an inner ring connected to the outer ring, an inlet section capable of providing fluid communication between the inlet of the filter base and the inner part of the filter element. Inlet section comprises first section of outer ring, first section of inner ring and several arms extending between first section of outer ring and first section of inner ring. Arms at least partially form an inlet channel capable of providing fluid communication between the inlet of the filter base and the inner part of the filter element. Outlet section is capable of providing fluid communication between the outlet of the filter base and the outer part of the filter element. Output section comprises second section of outer ring, second section of inner ring, plate connected with inner ring and including an outlet channel providing fluid communication between the outlet of the filter base and the outer portion of the filter element, and a wall extending between the second portion of the outer ring and the second portion of the inner ring. Inlet section of the bypass cover and the output section of the bypass cover are located in different positions along circumference relative to the bypass cover. Plate and wall break fluid communication between fluid inlet point into inlet section and fluid inlet point into outlet section. Method for directing fluid medium through filter element by means of bypass cover includes supply of fluid medium from inlet of filter base into bypass cover, directing the fluid flowing from the inlet into the filter element inner part through the bypass cover, directing the fluid from the inside of the filter element through the filter element to the outer portion of the filter element and directing the fluid from the filter element outer part into the filter base outlet through the bypass cover. Direction of fluid medium supplied from inlet hole to inner part of filter element includes direction of fluid medium, in fact, to central part of bypass cover. Direction of fluid medium from external part of filtering element to outlet hole of filter base includes direction of fluid medium, in fact, to central part of bypass cover.

EFFECT: group of inventions can be used for separation of fluids in various fluid systems, for example, in internal combustion engines.
