FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely, to forward and stern bow thrusts of ships. Bow thrust comprises water intake with water intake, axial pump with electric motor and rotary vanes arranged behind water intake tee connected with outlet water channels and equipped with means to alternately shut off outlet channels. Bow thrust additionally comprises water conduit connecting water intake and tee. Electric motor of axial pump is located outside water intake, and blades of rotation in form of impeller – inside it. Tee represents a chamber made in the form of a straight trihedral prism with isosceles triangles in the bases and an angle between their lateral sides within (50–60°). Each of two identical lateral faces of the chamber has a hole and with possibility of connection to the branch pipe of the outlet channel, and the third lateral face of the chamber is also made with a hole and with the possibility of connection of the supplying part of the water conduit to it. Means of alternate overlapping of outlet channels includes located inside choke, rigidly fixed on shaft. Shutter is made in the form of a plate, covering each of outlet holes of the chamber in the shape and area, and the shutter shaft is arranged along the rib.
EFFECT: simplicity, reliability and protection of bow thrusts from wastes.
