FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining dust-forming capacity of rocks during tunneling. Method for determination of dust-forming capacity of rocks at driving of mine working involves sampling of rock and dust, separation of dust by size of particles and measurement of amount of respirable dust in sample. Niche is made in rock massif. Minor fines and dust are removed from the niche. Combine actuator is switched on at slow feed of combine and low speed of actuator rotation. Analyzed rock layer of parent powder is taken from the niche. Simultaneously with destruction of rock layer in niche, dust is extracted to filter. Fraction of respirable dust in the selected maternal sample is determined.
EFFECT: determination of dust-forming ability of rocks.
