FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to parts made of low-silicon aluminum alloy, which can be used in automotive and aircraft engineering. Method of producing part made of low-silicon aluminum alloy containing: from 0.5 wt. % to 3 wt. % of silicon; from 0.65 wt. % to 1 wt. % magnesium; from 0.20 wt. % to 0.40 wt. % copper; from 0.15 wt. % to 0.25 wt. % of manganese; from 0.10 wt. % to 0.20 wt. % of titanium; from 0 ppm to 120 ppm strontium; the rest aluminum, includes casting of alloy in casting mold with production of part workpiece, extraction of cast workpiece in hot condition from mold, cooling and reheating to a temperature in range of 470 °C to 550 °C, installing the workpiece between two mold half-molds, which form a cavity with dimensions substantially equal to but smaller than the cavity dimensions of the mold, and pressing two half-molds with exposure of workpiece surface located between them, combined action of pressing and reduction to produce part.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining parts, including parts of complex shape, high quality.
