FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in production automotive parts operated at high loads and temperatures of up to 150-200°C: cylinder heads, water pump housings, inlet manifolds, etc. Proposed allow comprises components in the following weight ratio, wt %: silicon - 8.6-10.2, copper - 0.3-0.5, magnesium - 0.35-0.5, manganese - 0.1-0.45, iron - 0.2-0.5, aluminium and admixtures making the rest. This alloy features temperature of equilibrium solidus of 550°C while that of liquidus does not exceed 605°C. Structure of this alloy differs in that iron is completely bonded into skeleton-like spots of phase Al15(Fe,Mn)3Si2, while magnesium is completely bonded with secondary spots of phase Al5Cu2Mg8Si6 (Q').
EFFECT: alloy for production of complex-shape high-strength casts.
