FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aluminum alloys and their production and can be used in various industries, in particular for the manufacture of exterior and interior panels of vehicles. Sheet aluminum alloy contains, wt %: from 1.5 to 2.0 mg (Mg), not more than 0.8 copper (Cu), not more than 0.5 iron (Fe), not more than 0.4 manganese (Mn), from 0.2 to 0.4 silicon (Si), not more than 0.5 zinc (Zn), not more than 0.25 chromium (Cr), aluminum and inevitable impurities – the rest. Alloy is made using a method that includes cold rolling to final thickness, resolution at a temperature of from 500 to 575 °C with subsequent rapid cooling and hardening during natural aging to the state of heat treatment T4.
EFFECT: invention is directed to the production of alloys that retain their strength after molding and hot drying of paint.
