FIELD: electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrical equipment. Method is intended for automatic control of illumination of infrastructure facilities, for example, street, motorway, sidewalk, pedestrian walkway by creation on lighting objects of temporary dynamically changing zones, which are formed by means of control units of street lighting fixtures, which contain radio receiver with receiving antenna, decoder and shaper of control signal, by means of which level of illumination in given zone is changed. According to the invention, the light source operation control unit is configured to receive the encoded radio signal at night. Coded radio signal is generated automatically by means of a radio transmitter of an electronic device located on a subject (pedestrian) or object (car, train), which can approach and be removed in relation to this lighting zone. After reception of the coded radio signal, the level of which exceeds the specified threshold, and its decoding in the control unit of the light source operation, a control signal is generated, by means of which the level of illumination in the given zone is increased due to change of the light source operation mode. After reception of the coded radio signal, the level of which falls below a given threshold, when the subject or object is removed at a distance from which reception of the coded signal becomes impossible, reduced level of illumination in the given zone to the required value.

EFFECT: simplified control of luminaires operation.
