FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for treating patients with stage II-III skin melanoma. Method for surgical treatment of skin melanoma involves extensive excision of primary tumor (PT) and adjoining section at distance from its edge. Area of including PT section of tissues to be removed, for which the primary boundary of this segment is marked at a distance of two centimeters from the edge PT, on which primary biopsy collection points are marked, which is examined for signs malignancy, upon detection of which new biopsy sampling points are marked, distant from primary at a distance of not less than one centimeter. Then, procedure of biopsy material sampling is repeated to search for signs in it malignancy (SM), wherein when detecting SM new boundary of the biopsy material sampling points is marked, by one centimeter from previous biopsy sampling points, and such actions are repeated until the selected biopsy material is absent SM. Through the biopsy material sampling points, in which there was no SM, tissue boundary to be removed together with melanoma is drawn, removed, and the wound is closed. Using classical morphological examination method with staining sections with hematoxylin and eosin followed by analysis of the obtained illustrative material. Besides, as boundary criteria of healthy and malignant tissue use a line constructed through biopsy collection points, in which preserved basal membrane and no apoptosis in cambial layers of epidermis.

EFFECT: method provides higher complete tumor removal based on objective evidentiary criteria and elimination of microbial contamination.
