FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for prediction of recurrence in patients with basal cell carcinoma of skin after surgical removal of tumour. In 10% homogenates of samples of the surgically removed tumour, its perifocal zone and the resection line, the level of VEGFA and VEGFC is determined by enzyme immunoassay. If the level of VEGFA in the tumour is from 110.8 pg/g of tissue and more, in the perifocal zone from 136.6 pg/g of tissue and more, in the resection line from 233.9 pg/g of tissue and more; if the level of VEGFC in the tumour is from 231.09 pg/g of tissue and more, in the perifocal zone from 186.23 pg/g of tissue and more, in the resection line from 306.12 pg/g of tissue and more, the development of a recurrent disease is predicted in period of 12–15 months.

EFFECT: method enables predicting the recurrent basal cell carcinoma of the skin at the stage of surgical removal of the tumour by determining the level of VEGFA and VEGFC in the samples of the surgically removed tumour, its perifocal area and the resection line.
