FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to excavating equipment, namely, to protective pad for earthmoving equipment. Protective strip comprises elongated body able to enclose excavating equipment edge and having top and spaced apart first and second flanges, which are connected at apex, as well as a first protrusion extending inward near the first end of the elongated body, and a second protrusion extending inward near the second end of the elongated body such that when the protective pad is connected to earthmoving equipment, these projections interact with the edge of excavating equipment, and the mounting part extending from the elongated body. Mounting portion includes a rear portion having an opening, a first side connected to the rear portion, a second side connected to the rear portion opposite the first side, and at least one protrusion extending inward from mounting part rear part in place adjacent to hole between first and second sides. Said at least one protrusion is made with possibility of detachable connection of protective pad with base attached to excavating equipment. Besides, the hole is made with the possibility of receiving the detachable retainer so that when the protective pad is connected to the base, the detachable retainer is inserted into this hole. At that, at least one ledge is made with possibility of interaction with detachable retainer inserted into hole, preventing disconnection of protective cover from base.

EFFECT: technical result is prolongation of service life of excavating equipment working tools.
