FIELD: nanotechnology; manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of nanocapsules which can be used for controlled release of various encapsulated agents. Disclosed is a method of producing hollow silica nanocapsules. While stirring, an aqueous emulsion is prepared, which contains a dispersed phase selected from toluene, hexane or octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, a silicasol solution is added to the stirred emulsion in an organic solvent selected from tetrahydrofuran, monoglyme, acetonitrile, ethyl acetate or acetone, before polycondensation of the silicasol. Formed precipitate is separated and dried.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain nanocapsules at room temperature in neutral medium for up to 5 minutes.
