FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the treatment of a malignant neoplasm using magnetic hyperthermia. The method according to the invention includes the stages of delivery to the tumour area of polymer microcapsules based on sodium dextran sulphate and polyarginine hydrochloride at an effective concentration, containing magnetic nanoparticles based on iron oxide Fe3O4, exposure of the tumour area to an alternating electromagnetic field (AMF) with an amplitude of 50 to 300 E and a frequency of 50 to 400 kHz, where the time of exposure to the specified magnetic field at a temperature of 38 to 51°C is from 10 to 70 min, and selective damage or destruction of tumour cells in the tumour area without damage or with minimal damage to healthy surrounding tissue. The use according to the invention relates to a composition containing polymeric microcapsules based on sodium dextran sulphate and polyarginine hydrochloride in an effective concentration containing magnetic nanoparticles based on iron oxide Fe3O4 and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment due to the localization of polymer microcapsules loaded with magnetic nanoparticles in the tumour area and their controlled uniform heating under the action of an alternating electromagnetic field, as well as to reduce undesirable side effects due to the possibility of using nanoparticles at lower doses.
