FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to carbon sorption wound dressing, and aims at treating purulent, coughing-up, complicated postoperative wounds and fistulas. Carbon sorption wound dressing from carbon fiber material is carbonized by initial viscose material in presence of pyrolysis catalyst with subsequent activation in water vapor medium, is characterized by that initial viscose material is made of viscose technical thread pre-impregnated with aqueous emulsion of oligomer resin, based on oligomer with content of silanol groups (5–15) % and treated before carbonization in air atmosphere at 180–200 °C for 0.5–1.0 hours, wherein specific surface of dressing is (1,200–1,500) m2/g, moisture absorption 350±20 %, air permeability 125±20 dm3/m2s, carbon content of 85–89 %, pyrolysis catalyst used is polymethylsiloxane.
EFFECT: improved operational properties of the wound dressing, including higher sorption capacity.
