FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Napkin for treating purulent-septic and infectious wounds is made of carbonised carbon material. Carbonised material is a carbonised woven material made from a hydrated cellulose technical thread with an initial specific surface area of 2–3 m2/g, pretreated with a fire retardant in the form of a Lewis acid with subsequent air-to-atmospheric treatment, washed by successive washing in an aqueous solution with 0.5 wt.% KOH at temperature of 30–60 °C. Napkin has a surface density of 235 g/m2, and contact angle of wetting with water and aqueous solutions is 7–8°. To obtain said napkin, pre-impregnation of woven material made from hydrated cellulose technical thread with initial specific surface area of 2–3 m2/g is carried out with fire retardant in form of Lewis acid. Further, air-to-atmospheric treatment is carried out before carbonisation at temperature of 120–180 °C for 0.5–1.0 hours. Carbonisation is carried out in a continuous furnace with successive temperature rise from 180 to 1,250 °C for 2–4 hours. Carbon material is washed by successive washing in aqueous solution with 0.5 wt.% KOH at temperature of 30–60 °C and sterilization.
EFFECT: providing a low-ash, non-rigid and highly hydrophilic napkin, which enables to accelerate the healing of infected and purulent wounds with high clinical effectiveness.
