FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, namely, to samples for control and investigation of adhesive joints strength at shift of structural materials glued overlapped, including in conditions of high temperatures. Sample for evaluation of strength of adhesive compounds in shear, comprising two plates overlapped with an adhesive layer, the plates have a slash on the hairs over the entire length of the region of the gluing, and glued ends of plates are semicircular, wherein the area of gluing includes rectangular part of plate at length equal to its width and rounding area, equal to half width of plate.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy and reduced errors when determining strength of adhesive compounds during shearing by reducing the effect of concentration of tangential (shear) and normal (tear-off) stresses on edges of sample due to considerable reduction of stress concentration in adhesive layer and accordingly reduction of stress values in edge zone and their approximation to rated stresses, which determine adhesive strength.
