FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: in compliance with the first version, motor sailer comprises masts, sails, an engine, screw propellers, electrically-driven winches, wind direction and force pickups. All sails are furnished with solar batteries connected with the screw propeller motors and electrically-driven winches. The frames with made sails are hinged to both sides of every mast. The frames can be either a triangle, or a trapezium, or a sector, or a rectangle. The folding frames are interconnected and coupled with the winches and can turn around to form a proper angle between the sail planes. The sail frame width exceeds that of the motor sailer. The frame lower end, a channel ring-shaped, is fitted into the guides arranged partly on the deck surface and partly above the water surface. The said guides are furnished with support slopings jointed to the motor sailer walls and support coaming stays jointed to the floats. The said floats represent a tapered cylinder. In compliance with the second version, the motor sailer rig incorporates a radio compass with indicator pointer made from a permanent magnet, the compass scale being furnished with hermetic contacts connected with the screw propeller and winch motors to automatically control the course using the satellite navigation system. In compliance with the third version, the motor sailer is furnished with twin horizontal parallel guides arranged at different levels to accommodate movable sail belts fastened by rolls. The roll axles are connected with sails by means of spring-loaded drawbars and, between themselves, they are cable-connected to automatically control the rig. The said control consists in moving the sails horizontally along the guides by winding them up onto the drum reels. The guides can be given various shapes and are interconnected by means of masts and supporting coaming stays. The said stays can be arranged vertically or inclined, and are jointed to the deck by means of spreaders to ensure stability of stays.
EFFECT: improved performances of the motor sailer.
