FIELD: shipbuilding; building of motor-sailing vessels.
SUBSTANCE: proposed motor-sailing vessel is equipped with masts, sails, motor, propellers, electrical winches for turning the sails and wind direction sensors. All sails are provided with solar batteries which are connected with electric motors of propellers, electrical winches and solenoids by means of electrical circuit. Articulated to each mast on both sides are frames with sails which are made in form of rectangle or trapezium or triangle; these frames are interconnected together and are connected with winches by means of cables. Frames are folding in construction; they may be turned together with sails to different sides forming a required angle between sail planes. Width of sail frames exceeds width of vessel's deck. Lower end of sail frame rests on water surface on floats by means of bearing struts which ensure stability of frame suspension against inclination by the wind. Each bearing strut is connected with frame by means of hinges with retainers, type knee joints. Retainer is made in form of solenoid located inside frame tube from below.
EFFECT: saving of energy; extended technological capabilities.
