FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and aims at replacement of tibial shaft defect. Tibial shaft defect is replaced with an autograft obtained from the fibular bone. Bushing equipped with longitudinal through channels made of porous polytetrafluoroethylene, the length of which is more than the defect length by 5 % and less than the length of the autograft, is placed on the autograft. Transverse size of the bush corresponds to the size of the cross-section of the tibial shaft. Proximal end of the autograft is fixed in the medullary canal of the proximal fragment of tibia. Distal end of the autograft is placed in the medullary canal of a distal fragment of tibia. Fibrous bone is fixed in anatomically correct position by external fixation apparatus (EFA). Proximal and distal fragments of the fibular bone are connected by a combined implant. EFA compresses fragments of shin bone. Bushing is compressed on the autograft. Autograft position is fixed relative to a distal fragment of shin bone. Tibia and fibular bone are fixed in the achieved position by EFA to tibial consolidation.

EFFECT: invention provides the defect replacement of the tibial shaft with providing integrity of the shin bones and adequate support function of the shin.
