FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles engines. Engine control method employs engine with substantially constant air weight and ignition timing in response to temperature of catalytic neutraliser smaller than threshold value. At operation of the engine with essentially constant weight of air the engine torque is varied at change of engine rotation frequency. At operation of the engine with substantially constant air weight, the torque demanded by the driver is ensured by a set of engine and electric motor torques.
EFFECT: accelerated heating of catalytic neutraliser.
