SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric welding of steel sheets coated with Zn-based alloy with Al content in amount of 1.0 to 22.0 wt. % applied by immersion into the melt. Weight of coating W ranges from 15 to 250 g/m². Sheets (1, 1') are welded by electric arc welding with pulsating current. In the ripple current curve, the peak current and base current alternate with a pulse repetition period of 1 to 50 ms, and the average welding current is between 100 and 350 A. Average welding voltage ranges from 20 to 35 V. Number of splashes in the weld region having length 100 and width of 100 mm, in which surfaced bead of weld seam is located in the middle, is not more than 20.

EFFECT: porosity of weld seam is not more than 30 %.
