FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of arc welding of a sheet of Zn-coated steel, a gap between sheets of 0.2 to 1.5 mm is provided. Welding is carried out in three stages: the first step of moving the welding device with the first welding speed from the welding start point and performing welding by supplying the first running welding energy; following the first stage, a second step of moving the welding device to a second welding speed and performing welding by supplying a second running welding energy and a second stage of the third step of stopping the movement of the welding device and performing welding for 0.1 to 2 seconds at the position where the welding device is stopped. First stage involves welding performed on the welding machine under conditions where the first welding speed is less than the second welding speed and the first running energy exceeds the second running energy. In the third stage, welding is performed with a welding current and a welding voltage that is less than these parameters used in the second stage.
EFFECT: invention relates to an arc welding method that reduces formation of fistulas in the initial portions and end regions in a sheet of Zn-based coated steel and to reduce the degree of filling with fistulas on the welded area as a whole, and the welded joint.
