FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermophysical measurements and can be used for determination of thermophysical characteristics of materials and articles by nondestructive method by means of experimentally-calculated method of determining thermophysical properties of tested materials. Method of determining the complex of thermophysical properties of solid materials involves thermal pulse action from a heating source on the surface of the analyzed sample and subsequent analysis of the non-stationary thermal picture. Thermal picture is created by an external "point" source of energy localized on the area with the size of about 1 mm2, and recording on accessible surface with thermal imager a radially symmetric thermal front created in defect-free controlled article as a system of concentric circular isotherms, the position of which in time is determined by averaging information from a large number of pixels of a thermal imaging sensor, which is fixed relative to the center of the image of the heating spot, after which results are analyzed .

EFFECT: faster method of determining thermophysical properties of solid materials and finished articles.
