SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer security means, specifically to high efficiency of antivirus scanning of files. Method of generating a request for information on a file comprises steps of synchronously selecting a portion of a file and counting the first hash sum of the file from the selected portion of the file on the computer, performing a synchronous search for the first hash sum in the verdict cache, which contains information on at least the known malicious files, depending on the search result, selecting a synchronous or asynchronous type of requesting information on the file and subsequent search for information according to the request, where synchronous type execution of said file remains suspended, and in asynchronous type – file execution is resumed, and further antivirus checking is performed in parallel execution of file.

EFFECT: faster start-up delay of the checked file during antivirus checking.
