FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, in particular, to devices for non-contact measurement of object sizes. Linear dimensions meter comprises a head device with a radiation exciter, a receiving module and an electronic computing unit. Head device is designed so that the inner and outer surfaces of the head device form a triangular right angle, the vertex of which during operation is matched with the angle of the measured article. Electronic computer calculates parameters of measured object, and also performs electronic transfer of obtained data to final accounting system via built-in wi-fi-module. Receiving module is a unit consisting of a data synchronization chip, a feedback sensor and an emitting element.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of measuring the linear dimensions of the object without movement of the head device, providing the possibility of processing dimensions by the instrument, as well as providing the possibility of calculating the volume or area of the measured object and transmitting the obtained data to the final accounting system.
