FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metrology, in particular to means of measuring distances, sizes and shapes of objects. Method of measuring the shape of bent parts comprises alternately mounting the tips of the tip of the sonar device on the measured points of the surface of the object, sending acoustic pulses, recording and processing signals from microphones of the receiving antenna, transmitting data to a computer, and determining coordinates of the measured points. Adjusting lines of virtual verification templates are applied to the surface of the measured part, after which the three-microphone antenna is discretely moved along the part edge and installed in turn opposite marked mounting lines, providing passage of laser target designator beam through end points of said lines. Prior to measurements, the coordinate axis of the antenna is rotated around the axis of the target pointer by an angle providing the location of the axis in the plane of the virtual verification template, after which, based on the measured coordinates of the touch control points of the baton tip along the adjusting line, visualizing the shape of said line on the computer screen, It is compared with the shape of the virtual bending template and the result of comparison is used to determine the deviation from the specified shape, which is then eliminated at the next iterations of the bending process.
