SUBSTANCE: invention relates to parametric inertia and API. Such a result is achieved by the fact that the functionalities are demonstrated through the application programming interface through the operating system of the computing device for one or more applications which are configured to calculate the inertia effect for movement in the user interface. Calculated inertia effect for movement in user interface is controlled by operating system based on one or more stop points, specified using one or more parametric curves by means of one or more applications through interaction with application programming interface.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing display of various inertia effects, which are applied to movement object in user interface.
