FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in machining of shafts, particularly crankshafts, using measuring bores. Latter has a device for supporting central zones of the workpiece, as well as a measuring device built in it for direct feeding and measurement of blank areas before and/or during processing of shaft parts. Measuring base is made in the form of a prism, and the measuring device is located on the bottom of the prism between its lateral surfaces. Described is a grinding machine with such a measuring position, as well as a method of supporting and measuring central zones of the shaft on a grinding machine.
EFFECT: as a result, reliable and accurate measurement of shaft support points without interrupting grinding process.
