SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics and can find application in treating multiple and floating ribs and breastbone fractures. A method involves the fixation of rib fragments to a plate laid on a rib frame across the injured ribs held by the uninjured breastbones. An external surface of the rib is exposed within the locations of monocortical fixators. A tunnel is formed in a subcutaneous fat of the chest across the ribs along the plate to place the plate pre-shaped after the chest. The plate is perpendicular to the ribs covering the upper and lower uninjured ribs, as well as one or more ribs at the top of rib valve. An external cortical bone layer is drilled in the rib or breastbone together with a guide hole on both sides of the plate alongside the monocortical fixators. The monocortical fixators are inserted into the guide holes in the plate and into the bone holes tangentially and alongside the intramedullary canal. The fixators are bent above the plate surface and fixed using the fastening elements. The plate is fixed first onto the uninjured ribs, and then on the injured ribs. The plate to be used has a number of threaded holes, wherein the fastening elements that are a screw bolt and a washer provided with parallel fixator grooves to be fixed on the plate of the monocortical fixators, are placed.

EFFECT: using the given group of the invention enables achieving the reliable fixation providing patient's mobility and self-care.
