FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention in general relates to electronic protective counter-deflection systems and, more specifically, to magnetic bearing drive system containing electronic structure, which protects against failures. Electronic fault-tolerant magnetic bearing drive module comprises first plurality of switching elements (104a, 104c, 104e) and second plurality of switching elements (104b, 104d, 104f) and at least one coil (108a, 108b) located between the first plurality of elements (104a, 104c, 104e) and the second plurality of elements (104b, 104d, 104f). Both sets of elements (104a–104f) are configured to selectively operate in a first operating mode and a second operating mode to generate an electromagnetic field. First coil (108a) is located between the first bidirectional circuit of phase arm (102a) and the second bidirectional circuit of phase arm (102b), thus forming the first circuit of H-bridge (103a). Second coil (108b) is located between second circuit (102b) and the third bidirectional circuit of phase arm (102c), forming the second circuit of H-bridge (103b). First H-bridge circuit (103a) and second H-bridge circuit (103b) have one common phase arm, wherein first H-bridge circuit (103a) is configured to control current of first coil (108a) through said first coil (108a), and second circuit of H-bridge (103b) is configured to control current of second coil (108b) through said second coil (108b), wherein current of second coil (108b) is controlled so as to have direction opposite to direction of current of first coil (108a).
EFFECT: design of an electronic fault-tolerant magnetic bearing drive module which is configured to detect one or more electrical failures, such as an open circuit, for example, and provides successful support of levitation of bearing and axial position of corresponding rotating shaft, also enables to restart system with standby operating mode, it is much easier than replacement of equipment.
