SUBSTANCE: high-current source (200) for a test system for testing electrical power equipment (30) contains a first set of first switchable half-bridges (212) and a second set of second switchable half-bridges (222), which are connected in parallel and through which the test current is redundantly divided. The control device (280) is configured to control the first and second half-bridges (212, 222) based on the input signal so that the output signal for the test current, which corresponds to the input signal, is applied on the arm (230) of the bridge between the first switchable half-bridges (212) and the second switchable half-bridges (222).
EFFECT: implementation of the claimed group of solutions is to increase the accuracy of testing the functions and properties of electrical power equipment using a test current and, in particular, to make a high-current source for this purpose and a test system more stable, easier to transport, more reliable and safer.
