FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of performing repair works on replacement of steel rope at hoisting crane. Traverse is lowered down and installed on process support. New rope is unwound from the coil and measured by dimensions of the old rope. New rope is folded in two. Cord is lowered from bogie. At the middle, folded rope is lifted to the drum and fixed with clamps; the cord is removed. Suspending branches of rope are brought under movable units. Cord end is lowered down, the rope branches are connected to the end, it is lifted upwards to the level of the fixed block, it is passed through it and lowered again downwards. Each branch of rope is made along route "movable – fixed blocks – crossarm" and fixed on crossarm with clamps.

EFFECT: reduced labor input is achieved.
