FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair of glazing elements of small architectural and transport forms. Method of repair of glazing elements of organic glass from polycarbonate involves removal of part of material from the damaged area, operation of grinding the damaged glazing surface, and at depth of damage of more than 1 mm – also preliminary pre-cycle. Then one performs cleaning of traces of the previous abrasive material with water or alcohol until obtaining a translucent glass without visible scratches, drying the treated section with air at temperature of 35±5 °C and treatment of dried ground zone with saturated vapor of chlorine-containing solvent for 3–180 seconds.
EFFECT: complete restoration of optical transparency of glass.
