FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to appliances and method for recovery of optical properties, i.e. optical translucence and transmission, of plastic surface damaged by mechanical effects, oxidation or UV radiation. In compliance with first version, set of said appliances includes, at least, one polishing composition comprising grinding abrasive with grain size of 50 mcm to 400 mcm dispersed in liquid of gel-like carrier, at least, one composition for glazing comprising glazing abrasive with grin size of 10 mcm to 60 mcm dispersed in liquid or gel-like carrier, and, at least, one anti-UV composition to be applied on plastic surface finshed by aforesaid polishing and glazing compositions. In compliance with second version, set of appliances comprises, at least, one abrasive composition and, at least, one anti-UV composition. Note here that abrasive particles include agglomerates destructed or reshaped at mechanical effects or oxygen attack in polishing or glazing.

EFFECT: recovery of optical properties, ie optical translucence and transmission, of plastic surface, longer life.
