SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a multilayer coating film and can be used to color an object, such as a car. Multilayer coating film comprises a glossy layer, which contains a glossy material and is directly or indirectly formed on the surface of the coating application object; and the colored layer, which is semitransparent, contains a reddish pigment and is layered on the glossy layer. In the multilayer coating film, the glossy layer satisfies the following conditions with respect to the Y value calibrated with the standard white plate in the XYZ colorimetric system: Y(10°) is 50 or more and 950 or less; Y(25°)=k×Y(10°), where k is a coefficient and is 0.05 or more and 0.35 or less, wherein Y(10°) denotes the reflected light value Y, measured at angle of 10° receiving light (angle of deviation towards light source from mirror reflection angle). Y(25°) denotes the reflected light value Y, measured at angle of 25° receiving light when the angle of incidence of light is 45° (angle with deviation by 45° from normal to surface of glossy layer). Inclination of the tangent to the spectrum of spectral transparency of the colored layer at wave length 620 nm, defined as the absolute value, is 0.012 nm-1 or more and 0.03 nm-1 or less. Spectral transparency is obtained by dividing the spectral reflectivity measured for the colored layer applied on the glossy layer at angle of 10° receiving light when the angle of incidence of light is 45°, on the spectral reflectance measured for the glossy layer with the removed colored layer and, respectively, the exposed surface at angle of 10° receiving light when the angle of incidence of light is 45°. Object with coating contains multilayer coating film.

EFFECT: improved brightness variation properties when changing the viewing angle of the multilayer coating film configured to show red color through glossy layer (14) and the semitransparent colored layer (15) to achieve a color with a metal texture having a high-quality hue.
