METHOD OF LASER COAGULATION IN TREATING CHRONIC HEMORRHOID Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B18/20

Abstract RU 2702599 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to coloproctology. For treating chronic hemorrhoid after coagulation of cavernous tissue of internal hemorrhoid at 3 cm proximal to dentate line and directly above the internal hemorrhoid, the mucous membrane is coagulated by moving the light guide in the transverse direction at rate of 0.5 cm per second for length of 1.5–2 cm in a mode of continuous radiation with a wave length of 1,560 nm and power of 7 W and radiation exposure of 2 seconds. Mucous membrane is then coagulated directly proximal to the anorectal line by moving the light guide in a transverse direction at rate of 0.5 cm a second for length of 1.5–2 cm.

EFFECT: method provides easy and fast de-rotation of branches of upper and lower rectal arteries directly feeding pathologically changed internal hemorrhoids, which significantly reduces pathological influx of arterial blood to them, reduces the probability of postoperative hemorrhoids and the probability of recurrence in the distant period, protein denaturation and sealing of arteries, without causing carbonisation, due to movement of the light guide in the transverse direction at a rate of ½ cm per second for length of 1½–2 cm, which improves postoperative period and accelerates the healing of postoperative wounds.
