PROPYLENE-BASED POLYMER WITH REDUCED HIGH-MOLECULAR WEIGHT PART Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C08F10/06 C08F210/06 C08F2/00 C08F2/34 C08G85/00

Abstract RU 2702633 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a propylene-based polymer. Method of producing a propylene-based polymer includes: contacting, under polymerisation conditions in a gas-phase polymerisation reactor, a propylene monomer and optionally one or more comonomers with a Ziegler-Natta catalyst composition; maintaining temperature of the reaction zone of the gas phase polymerisation reactor at temperature from more than or equal to 75 °C to less than 85 °C, formation of propylene-based polymer with weight-average molecular weight (Mw) greater than 100,000 and ratio of average molecular weight Z + 1, Mz + 1 to average molecular weight Z, Mz, Mz + 1 / Mz of less than 2.20, and further includes reducing viscosity of the propylene-based polymer and forming a propylene-based polymer with a ratio of the weight-average molecular weight to the number-average molecular weight Mw/Mn of less than 3.0, wherein: Ziegler-Natta catalyst composition contains an internal phthalate-based electron donor and a mixed external electron donor containing one or more alkoxysilanes and one or more activity limiting agents containing a C4-C30 ester of an aliphatic carboxylic acid, and content in propylene-based polymer of soluble in xylene substances is from 1.0 wt. % up to 3.6 wt. %.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a propylene polymer with given properties, which improves production of fibre by providing higher spinning speeds of the fibre compared to the traditional propylene polymer.
