FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in space engineering, in optical instrument-making, in construction industry. Pigment for coatings of the class "solar optical reflectors" is prepared from powder of barium sulphate, which is modified with nanoparticles of aluminum oxide in amount of 5 wt%.
EFFECT: invention increases pigment reflectance and reduces integral absorption coefficient as solar radiation from 0,062 to 0,035.
