SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the technology for pump control applications. Pump control device has a processor or a signal processing module configured to receive an alarm comprising information on the idle mode of the pump in the absence of flow (NFI) when the pump is running at pump idling speed; and determining, based on the received signaling, the corresponding signaling, containing information on whether the pump should stay in stop mode by absence of flow (NFSD) or in NFI mode. Device provides control signaling, which switches the pump to NFSD or NFI mode based on certain appropriate signaling. Processor or signal processing module is configured to provide appropriate signaling, taking system consumption at idling speed of pump as main parameter of detection of absence of flow, under condition of absence of flow by means of equation, including consumption threshold for control period of time. Besides, processor or module is configured to determine whether required flow rate of system at idling speed of pump is less than consumption threshold for control period of time, and determining if the NFSD condition is met, that the control device may remain in NFSD mode or in NFI following NFSD/NFI circuits, wherein the NFSD flag remains elevated, or the pump returns to normal operation if a flow is detected in the system based on the equation.
EFFECT: inventions are aimed at saving energy of pump operation.
