SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pump system comprising a pump operating from an engine and a pump controller having a signal processor or signal processing module, as well as a method of processing a signal with a numerical sensor-free affine transformation for a pump, for example, based on processing pressure drop, flow rate and pump power at maximum pump speed, published by pump manufacturers, as well as law of affine conversion of pump to obtain instantaneous pressure and flow rate drops directly and numerically.
EFFECT: method of sensorless conversion can be applied to any forms of pump characteristics distribution, simple or complex, since there is no need to reconstruct and solve any characteristic equations of pump and system; as a result, accuracy of calculations is considerably improved.
