FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials, particularly silicate heat-insulating material based on silica-containing technogenic wastes. Mixture is prepared by dosing the components at a ratio, wt%: microsilica 58–68, sodium hydroxide in terms of Na2O 14–16, filler in form of wastes from enrichment of apatite-nepheline ores 10–12 and diopside or wastes from enrichment of vermiculite ores 5–16. Charge components are mixed in the presence of water, loaded into the mold and held for 20–24 hours in air, after which it is dried in a furnace at temperature of 100–120 °C for 30–40 minutes. Then charge is foamed in closed volume of mold in furnace at temperature 300–350 °C for 25–35 minutes. Further, the temperature is increased to 650–670 °C and held for 15–20 minutes. After that for 5–7 minutes, temperature is reduced to 500–570 °C and annealing the article at this temperature for 10–15 minutes. Then the item is cooled in the furnace to ambient temperature.
EFFECT: low temperature of foaming of the charge, high compression strength and low water absorption of the material.
