SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to oil and gas industry and can be used in other industries, in particular, relates to filtering elements used in filters for cleaning liquid and gaseous media. Filtering element includes a bearing frame, a filtering screen consisting of at least two layers, a protective frame and drain layers made outside the filtering screen and between its layers. Filter screen is in elastically stretched state. Filter can be made on the basis of said filtering element as a whole.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of filtering element operation due to possibility of its self-cleaning during operation.
