FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to filtering elements used in filters for cleaning liquid and gaseous media. Invention relates to a filtering element made in the form of a solid of revolution with a concentric hole and made of a permeable material, which is a pressed metal wire billet, in which end faces are made congruent to each other in form of zigzag-like locks, and to form cylindrical wire workpiece metal sleeve mesh is used. Invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a filter element.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the filter element owing to tightness of its connection with other filter elements and parts.
