SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conveyor, such as armored face conveyor (AFC) or beam stage loader (BSL). Mining system comprises conveyor and controller. Conveyor contains the first sprocket and the second sprocket, chain, drive mechanism and sensor. Chain is connected to the first sprocket and the second sprocket and contains multiple chain elements. Drive mechanism is connected with first sprocket or second sprocket to drive first sprocket or second sprocket. Sensor is configured to generate a signal associated with the conveyor characteristic. Controller is configured to receive a signal from the sensor, determine the number of constituent elements of the circuit, which have passed a basic point based on the signal, determining the location of at least one of the plurality of constituent elements of the chain based on the number of constituent elements of the chain that have passed the reference point, and updating the circuit map based on the location.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of circuit map for conveyor, updating of circuit card and performance of maintenance in circuit.
