SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of enamel coating in order to form a pattern and can be used in making jewelry and souvenir products. Method involves preparation of a metal base of a decorated article, application of a counter-enamel, application of enamel soil, formation of a volume element and its art painting. Metal base is made of gold or silver, enamel soil is applied in two layers, each of which is fired in muffle furnace until complete melting, on surface of enamel soil pencil is applied contour of solid figure, space inside the contour is filled with chipped pieces of enamel, at that a different-level relief is formed. One uses chipped pieces of enamel, which are not subjected to any thermal or mechanical treatment. Decorated item is placed into a muffle furnace and fired to fuse the enamel pieces into a single homogeneous mass; an artistic painting is applied on the formed volumetric figure, after which the product is subjected to final annealing in a muffle furnace.

EFFECT: invention simplifies application of decorative enamel coating while improving safety during application of decorative enamel coating, enlarging enamelling methods and properties of articles with decorative enamel coating.
