FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of art enamelling of hot hardening, in particular to the technology of obtaining images on the enamel surface, and can be used in the field of jewellery and art articles and souvenirs production. Method includes applying and firing counter-enamel on the reverse side of a preliminarily prepared metal surface, wherein image is formed on metal surface or metal surface with burnt layer of ground enamel by applying different coloured enamels and firing. Image formation is carried out with dry powder enamels with matching firing interval. Structural components of the image in the form of elements and details of the pattern are formed by successive application of dry powder enamels in one or several layers, which includes application of dry powder enamels of different colours next to each other, overlapping each other and on each other. Enamel of any colour and transparency is used as ground enamel.
EFFECT: method provides formation of decorative images on a metal surface or baked ground enamel.
