FIELD: microscopes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to scanning microscopes. Adaptable multifunctional scanning microscope (AMSM) design is intended for production of digital copies (virtual slides) of preparations on a group of preset light microscopy permits. AMSM implements scanning modes on different lenses, with selection of exposure time at shooting in accordance with lighting/brightness conditions of the preparation, with uniform or accelerated movement of the preparation. AMSM structure has a modular architecture which allows use of multiple interchangeable components with different characteristics. Method of selecting AMSM configurations using a calculated analytical quality criterion enables comparing the sets with different sets of components based on the scanning speed at given resolutions. At the operation stage, the quality criterion is used for automatic selection of the fastest scanning mode taking into account characteristics of the current preparation.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of selecting a complete set and scanning modes of an adapted multifunctional scanning microscope.
