FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for automatic control of design parameters, namely to a method and device for measuring and controlling slotted openings of anti-sand filters used in the mining industry. The effect is achieved by using an inspection machine for finishing control and measuring slot gaps of anti-sand filters, including a means for placing a filter, an optical scanner of the filter surface, including a radiation source and a sequentially located lens and a photodetector, as well as means for installing and moving the optical scanner along the filter and connected to them a control unit, including software and hardware, equipped with at least a pre-installed software and hardware image in the memory unit with an algorithm for performing finishing control operations and measuring gap gaps. In this case, the radiation source is made in the form of an industrial illumination and/or a laser-optical unit, and the lens and the photodetector form an optical channel for capturing an image of the scanned section of the filter in the area of illumination by the radiation source and converting it into a digital format. The optical scanner is additionally equipped with a focus control sensor according to the measured data of the current distance of the optical scanner to the scanned filter surface, connected to the control unit, equipped with software and hardware tools for adjusting the position of the optical scanner in height from the scanned surface when the current readings of the control sensor deviate from the specified value of the focal length, and the control unit is equipped with a software-hardware-implemented means of determining the boundaries of the measured slot gap between the turns of the filter, pre-installed in the memory unit, according to a pre-installed software-hardware algorithm for processing the cut-off spectrum of the digital image of the scanned section of the filter obtained from the photodetector through its threshold processing with the removal of spatio-temporal noise.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and speed of measurements, while simplifying the design and increasing its reliability.
